Social Resilience
We research and design new collective processes that allow self-management and empowerment of organizations and communities, at a time of systemic crisis.
Is adaptive capacity an innate skill or shared community learning?
Social resilience is the ability of systems to face adverse impacts and regenerate, creating conditions to thrive in a world of constant change. In Resilience.Earth, we work to enhance this resilience through rooted and dynamic strategies, designed in collaboration with communities, organizations, companies and cooperatives. We accompany institutions and companies in the development of more efficient, resilient and adaptive economic strategies, which allow communities to manage their resources autonomously and sustainably.
Self-management is fundamental to this process, as it encourages shared responsibility and local empowerment, allowing the design of more effective and durable economic and social strategies. This approach creates more rooted, adaptable and resilient local economic systems capable of regenerating against future challenges.
With an approach that integrates intersectionality and adaptive systems, we address structural inequalities and develop solutions that maximize the capacity of adaptation and recovery. We use participatory methodologies, such as mapping vulnerabilities and leadership training, to unlock the latent potential of communities and organizations, contributing to more just, inclusive and regenerative economic, community and public models.
“The facilitation of the Resilience Earth cooperative has a unique ability to inspire a total commitment to each participant, even in an online environment. Working with Resilience allows us to take advantage of the deep knowledge and experience of its facilitators, while strengthening our own ability to sustain space and guide processes effectively. ”
